What is Dry Salt Therapy?

Dry Salt Therapy, also known as Halotherapy, (Halo is the Greek word for salt) is a holistic, drug free, natural  approach to improving your health by emulating  the micro-climate of a natural salt cave. Dry salt air, using medical grade micro-particles of salt, is dispersed into a booth through a unique process generated by a halogenerator. This type of treatment is a safe and effective way of using salt’s natural anti inflammatory, antibacterial, and  absorbent properties to help provide relief for  respiratory ailments, skin conditions, and sleeplessness, while boosting  your athletic performance, immune system and helping with detoxification.

In 1843, Polish physician Feliks Boczkowski conducted a study on various miners and found that salt miners did not have respiratory or lung problems compared to workers in other mining industries.

Salt Therapy stimulates the body’s natural processes for cleansing the respiratory system, removing foreign particles which cause many respiratory ailments, including COPD, smoker’s cough, chronic bronchitis, chronic sinusitis and hay fever to name just a few.

Your largest organ, your skin,  benefits from the pH balancing properties of salt while helping the regenerative and reparative processes, stimulating cell growth and micro-circulation.   Thus, benefiting anyone who is suffering from acne, eczema, rosacea or just dry flaky skin.   Salt Therapy helps strengthen the immune system by increasing the production capacity of lymph cells.  Skin diseases such as psoriasis are a result of immune system failures, so that the strengthening of the immune system is found to help improve the body’s reaction to this skin ailment.

Dry salt therapy is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.  As always, please consult your physician .  While there have been many clinical and scientific studies conducted on dry salt therapy throughout the world, the FDA has not evaluated the benefits of using Halo Therapy.
